I started training in Cheshunt under the guidance
of Master Bill John in 1998 and have trained
with professor Shen and other instructors on
occasions.
I soon realised that I wanted to become a black
belt so I trained very hard, and five years
later was awarded my black belt. A year later
I graded again to 1st Dan, this is when I thought
that I would like to teach S.C.D.

In 2000 when I was a red belt
I won the S.C.D open tournament in light continuous
fighting in the team and singles events for the
80kg division for Master Bill's Herts. 1 club.

My next aim is to hopefully have black belts of
my own, and to attain a Master grade myself one
day, and who knows maybe learn all of the syllabus
of S.C.D unless I get too old! I don't just train
purely for self development I have many reasons,
too many to list here though!
Come and train in the Shen Chi Do family martial
art, it instils discipline, patience, co-ordination,
balance and flexibility. Be part of a unit that
operates in a friendly manner where members help
one another instead of competing against each
other and where instructors have the right attitude
towards their students.

Achievements
Becoming an
instructor in S.C.D in 2007 and a qualified referee
and opening up my own class, Herts. 2 in Hoddesdon,
I'm very proud of this and seeing students learn
and progress is the greatest feeling ever. |
